FAQ
Common questions about what ClickyPanel does, what it costs, and where your data goes.
What is ClickyPanel for?
Answering “how are my sites doing right now?” without opening a browser. Every site you own is listed side by side with visitors online, today against yesterday, and a seven-day line.
Does it merge numbers across providers?
No, and it never will. Each site shows its own provider’s numbers. Providers count visitors differently, so a combined total would be a number nobody could act on.
Which providers are supported?
Clicky, Matomo, and self-hosted Umami. More providers are on the way.
Can I filter, segment or compare date ranges?
No. ClickyPanel is a monitor, not an analysis tool, and adding a query builder would make it a worse one. Every site has a link straight into its provider’s own dashboard for that work.
What does it cost?
$39 once, for everything, forever. One purchase covers up to three computers, there is no subscription, and every v3 update is included. Try it for 30 days - if it is not for you, write to support and we refund it, no reason needed.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no login and no ClickyPanel server. The app talks to your analytics providers directly from your computer.
Where are my API keys stored?
Encrypted on your own machine, in the app’s local database. They are only ever sent to the provider they belong to. The privacy policy describes the encryption exactly, including what it does not protect against.
Does it send any data about me?
Anonymous crash reports go to Sentry by default. They contain the error, the app version and your OS version - no credentials and no analytics data. You can switch them off in Settings. We will not claim “zero telemetry” while that is on by default.
Does it work offline?
Yes, in the sense that it shows the last numbers it fetched, marked as stale, and stops trying until you are back online.
Will it drain my battery?
The refresh interval is yours to set. At one-minute intervals with a handful of sites the app makes a few small HTTPS requests a minute and is idle in between. You can also set it to manual, in which case it fetches only when you ask.
I bought ClickyPanel v2.
ClickyPanel v3 is free for you. Claim it here.
Do I need to be online?
Only once, to activate your key. After that ClickyPanel re-checks the licence about once a week and keeps working for a month if it cannot reach us, so an outage on our side or a fortnight without a connection will not lock you out of an app you own.
