Troubleshooting
What to do when a site shows no data, stops refreshing, or reports a number you do not recognise.
A site shows no numbers
Work through these in order.
- Check the site’s own dashboard. If the provider shows nothing either, there is nothing wrong with ClickyPanel.
- Re-check the credential. Open the site’s settings and confirm the key or login. Clicky site keys are per site - a key from a different site will authenticate and return nothing.
- Check the date range. Clicky’s free plan only holds 31 days, so a 30-day view can come back thin or empty near the boundary.
The data is marked stale
ClickyPanel shows the last numbers it successfully fetched rather than an error screen. A stale marker means the most recent refresh failed. Press refresh; if it keeps failing, the provider is likely down or rate-limiting.
Refreshes are slow, or the provider rate-limits me
Lower Settings → Refresh concurrency. That caps how many sites are fetched at once across all providers.
Each provider also has a ceiling of its own that the setting cannot raise:
- Clicky allows one simultaneous request per IP per site ID, so a single site’s ranges are always fetched one after another.
Numbers do not match the provider’s dashboard
Small differences are normal and usually come from one of these:
- Timezone. ClickyPanel asks each provider for “today” in the timezone configured on the provider’s side. If your site’s timezone differs from your computer’s, “today” starts at a different moment.
- Bots and filters. Providers apply their own filtering, and some apply it on a delay.
- Recency. Real-time counts lag by a minute or two on most providers.
Large differences are a bug. Please open an issue with the provider, the range and both numbers.
Clicky account login fails
If you sign in to Clicky with Google, your Clicky password is deactivated and the account API cannot be used. Connect with a site key instead.
Open in provider goes to the wrong place
On some self-hosted providers the deep link may not point to your own instance. This does not affect the data ClickyPanel fetches - only the link is wrong.
macOS says the app is damaged or from an unidentified developer
Builds are not yet notarized. Right-click the app in Applications, choose Open, then confirm. This is only needed once. Full detail is on the download page.
Windows SmartScreen blocks the installer
Choose More info, then Run anyway. Verify the SHA-256 published on the download page first if you want to confirm the file is ours.
Nothing here helped
Open an issue on GitHub with your OS, the app version from Settings → About, the provider, and what you expected to see.
